A Brush with Injustice - My Journey of Resilience and Advocacy

For more than 8 years across two Canadian provinces I volunteered my time, talents, and limited resources to support my peers in managing their mental health while managing my own. Still I was declared mentally incompetent incapable of taking care of myself by people who know very little about me for monetary gain.
In a world where the truth can be overshadowed by greed and deceit, I want to share my painful story of how I suffered a gross injustice. My name? Joan A Brown, a passionate self-taught visual artist and dedicated educator. For years, I have poured my heart into teaching art to individuals who, like me, have struggled with mental health challenges.
My love for the arts and for anything I can create artistically has allowed me to connect deeply with my students, fostering a space where we can heal together through creativity.

For years I've been speaking out against this injustice, not just for myself, but for anyone who has faced similar circumstances. To showcase my true capabilities and the profound impact I have on those around me, I am sharing a short video clip of me prepping for one of my art painting classes.
In the original full footage from which the clip below was taken, you can see and hear me engaging with my students, sharing my passion for art, and demonstrating the healing power of creativity that has helped both me and my students in our recovery journey.
Art as a Voice: Challenging Stigmas and Fighting for Justice
This video is not just a testament to my artistic talent; it is a powerful reminder that I am far from the image painted by those who seek to diminish me. I am a vibrant, capable woman who has touched the lives of many in two provinces in Canada and continues to do so until recently when these gang stalkers infiltrated the organizations where I worked and volunteered.
As you watch, I encourage you to reflect on the implications of my story much of it shadow banned on my channel and websites I've since had to deactivate due to cyber attacks and gang stalking tactics to keep me from being seen online and from making a living.
How easily can someone's life be turned upside down by the actions of others? How important is it to stand up for yourself and for those who cannot stand up for themselves?
Breaking the Chains of Injustice: A Call for Change
I invite you to join me in advocating for justice and truth. Let’s amplify my voice and ensure that my story is heard. Together, we can challenge the injustices that exist in our society involving many who whose invisible disability is weaponized against them, and celebrate the strength of those who refuse to be bullied into silence.
Legal stipulations and my wish to protect the identity of former students limits me from posting the entire video as well as several others in archive, but watch the short from the original video below and witness the undeniable proof of my competence, passion for my craft, and the love I share for the groups of people I volunteered as a self-less peer supporter.
